Welcome to Tunisia

Introduction: Tunisia has a Mediterranean coastline, is located to the south of Sardinia, and is North Africa's smallest country. With Algeria to the west and Libya to the east, Tunisia has 1,400km of coastline. With this Mediterranean climate, a stable government, easy access from Europe, and its strategic location, Tunisia is attracting considerable foreign investment, from both Europe, and from the Middle East.

Tunisia has historical architecture from Roman and Moorish ruins, to nineteenth century French colonial boulevards. It has everything from cork oak forests, olive groves, vineyards, and the grand and spectacular Sahara desert, The mile after mile of beautiful sandy beaches are served by an impressive array of luxurious hotels and apartments, modern international airports, boutiques, and jet-set marinas, along with traditional Arab markets and shops.

Tunisia is very relaxed and tolerant. Women have rights unlike many Arabic countries, allowing western-style clothing, participation in sport, and there are no limitations to women taking part in business or Government life, even at a senior level.
Alcohol is freely available, and is widely drunk by locals and tourists alike.

With tourism increasing, leisure facilities have opened up widely, especially around the established resorts, such as Hammamet and Monastir. There are high class golf courses, diving centres, marinas and yacht clubs. Huge Dubai investment is funding other major leisure facilities. Mediterranean Gate ‘Century’ City and Tunis Sports City. Not only will there be further golf courses and marinas, and world-class sporting academies with Olympic standard facilities, there will also many thousands of new residential units and hotel rooms.

When buying property in Tunisia, you can be sure your investment will be very well rewarded. Tunisia's economic future is assured, and unlike many other countries, your investment will be rewarded.

The Climate: North Tunisia has a typical Mediterranean climate , with hot dry summers and mild  winters,  with no dramatic seasonal changes.
Temperatures in the low 30s Celsius in July and August, ease to around 15 or 16 dropping to a comfortable 14 or 16 degrees in Winter. Off shore sea breezes help cool the Summer heat, making Tunisia a pleasant destination all year round.
Adventurous visitors deciding to explore The Sahara Desert in the south of the country will encounter the intense desert heat you would expect, although the spectacular scenery and experience will more than make up for any discomfort.

Easily accessible: Tunisia has several international airports, although the majority of visitors arrive at Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN) near the capital of Tunis. However, an increasing number of European low cost and charter flights are now arriving at Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport (MIR) in Monastir, putting visitors close to many of the most popular coastal holiday resorts. For examples, companies flying from the UK include ThomsonFly, Thomas Cook,  and First Choice, with EasyJet soon to join them.
From London, the flight is less than three hours flying time, and with a time difference of only one hour, journeys are not only low cost and quick, but have none of the problems associated with jet lag.

Economy: Figures for Tunisia’s economy are officially extremely strong. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is forecasting 5.9% GDP growth for 2009.
Compared with most European nations, which are in the grip of a credit crunch, Tunisian economy is growing steadily, unemployment is dropping, and inflation and foreign debt both in good shape.
Tunisia generates its income from a range of sources. Not only is tourism growing year on year, but mineral exports (such as petroleum and phosphates) and agricultural exports (citrus fruits, olive oil, grapes, tomatoes, figs and dates) are ensuring stability and economic growth (a minimum of 5% GDP growth rate every year in the current decade). Billions of dollars of investment are now being made, especially from the Middle East, into many commercial and residential projects.
Tunisia is a great place to invest!
